The shop that created Japan's first kuri-yokan — chestnut yokan — in 1899, as a souvenir for pilgrims walking up to Naritasan. Still the definitive Narita gift. The ground floor also has a tearoom serving soba, udon and anmitsu, roughly ¥900–1,050, so it works as a proper stop rather than just a purchase. Open 8:00–18:00, which makes it one of the few things on the approach street open early.
