The landside shopping floors — Terminal 1's 4F and 5F, and the equivalent areas in Terminals 2 and 3 — carry Japanese sweets, sake, airport-only souvenirs and a convenience store, with no boarding pass needed. Note that duty-free is on the other side of security: if you want tax-free liquor and cosmetics, that comes after check-in, not now.
