Shinshoji is the main temple of the Naritasan complex and the reason Narita has been a destination for centuries. Large grounds, several halls and a pagoda — you walk up from Narita Station through the old approach street to reach it. Entry to the grounds is free. A quick look from the gate to the main hall takes 10–15 minutes; a full circuit takes an hour or more.
